SCP-63900 is a reconditioned heat exchanger for the classic Saab 900 up to and including 1988 year model.
The Classic Saab 900 has two heat exchangers, up to and including the year model 1988 and from year model 1989.
The car manufacturer replaced the heat exchanger up to 1988 (OEM # 9481722) with the 1989 heat exchanger (OEM # 9482555) which is smaller.
Despite this replacement, it is recommended to install the appropriate larger heat exchanger on vehicles up to 1988 to avoid reduced heating capacity.
The larger heat exchanger up to 1988 cannot be retrofitted to the heater box from 1989 onwards.
